Because they have children already and are newly married, they do not feel that they can care for another child at this time. Mom placed her daughter for adoption through another agency 8 years ago and has a semi-open adoption for that family.

They are looking for a family that would be willing to send pictures and letters through the years to them since that is the same arrangement they have with her daughter's family. They are open to a single family or married, with or without children. They would prefer the family to be Christian. Due on December 1, 2009 and the gender is unknown at this time.

She said her significant health issues were severe acid reflux, for which she has prescribed medication. Other family issues were a paternal uncle who has the sickle cell trait (but not her or immediate family) and an aunt who is HIV+. There were some other medical issues she mentioned but fairly normal, like asthma in one of her kids and grandparent with heart problems. No mental health history. She is specifically looking for a black or biracial married couple, but if not would like there to be some AA influence (ie already adopted a black child, has family member who married a black spouse, etc).
